Brian Green Jr.

- Selected for ODP
- Selected All CIF First Team Division IV
- 2007 Division IV Finalist
- 10 Years of Soccer
- 3.83 GPA (Class of 2009)

Brian started off at right back but has since developed into a great central defender. He stands out for his tremendous speed, fitness levels and his discipline on the pitch. He's a perfect example of a team player and he never over-complicates the job when he has to cut off an opposing attacking move. He is a tireless destroyer of the opposition's attacking moves. As such he combines perfectly with teammates who have a holding role in midfield.

He can also adapt to any of the defensive positions when circumstances dictate. He is tall (6' 1) and his physical strength and jumping ability make him dominate in the air. He is capable of man-marking opposing forwards. He possesses good individual skills and is an excellent passer of the ball.

Brian is extremely disciplined, does not lose his composure, and leads by example which are important qualities to have in order to be successful not only on the pitch, but also in life.

Message from Brian:

On the pitch, I am the starting center back for the Los Angeles Futbol Club (LAFC) U-18 U.S. Soccer Federation Academy team coached by Josh Henderson and Barry Rison. The team will compete in the USSF's Academy League and all the associated Showcases. During the U-16 USSF Academy season, LAFC was the SoCal Conference Champions and competed in the Finals at the Home Depot.

Formerly, I was a starter at center back and integral member of the youth Club team FC Barcelona (U-15 through 17) and was selected for the Cal South Olympic Development Program. As a member of FC Barcelona, I competed at the highest levels, Coast Soccer League's Premier Division, both U-16 (Champions) and U-17, won two Surf Cups, participated in two Dallas Cups and the 2006 Nike Friendlies (Guest with Real SoCal).

I last competed on the high school level in 2006/07 when I was a starting center back for La Quinta High School and we were back to back Desert Valley League Champions and were CIF Division IV Finalists. Individually, I was selected All-CIF Division IV First Team, All-Area First Team by the Press Enterprise newspaper and All Desert Valley League.
